Businesses are getting carried away with Digital Marketing. In most cases competing with themselves or their supplier/franchisor. It's way out of hand. Your web page is what your YellowPage ad used to be: a reason for customers to call you. Did you EVER advertise in the paper or on TV "...see our ad in the YellowPages..." Well that's what you are doing with Pay Per Click, paid SEO advice, and the like.
I realize you have to do it to some extent, but it's gotten out of hand. If your entire ad budget is small, then just digital is fine. Like it used to be: A limited budget you started with the YellowPages, any additional money went to reaching new customers in traditional media (TV, Radio, Print, Direct Mail.) A good rule of thumb: No more than 40% in digital, the rest, reach out to your market area.
